It's a known fact that I am a huge fan of anything chocolate but my favorite chocolate dessert is always cake. This Chocolate Swirl Cake is full of chocolate syrup and drizzled with chocolate and white chocolate ganache. This showy cake is a fabulous dessert for company or for taking to a pot luck. Everyone will rave and ask for the recipe!!

Ingredients
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease and flour a bundt pan
Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
Cream together butter, sugar, sour cream and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time beating well after each until thoroughly incorporated.
Add buttermilk to creamed mixture alternating with dry ingredients.
In a measuring cup combine syrup and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.
Measure 2 cups of cake batter into a medium size bowl and stir in the syrup mixture until thoroughly incorporated.
Pour vanilla batter into cake pan and top with chocolate batter. Do not swirl.
Bake for 60-70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on rack and remove from pan.
Glaze with vanilla and chocolate Ganache. See my post for Gourmet Brownies (which are decadent) for a Ganache recipe - for white chocolate ganache just substitute white chocolate chips.
