Minnie Mouse Cake made with a Wilton cake pan
My three year old granddaughter wanted Minnie Mouse as her birthday theme so her aunt and I were tasked with bringing the refreshments and balloons.

This was one of my favorite children's party themes because I love the bright colors and polka dots. Our menu included a Minnie Mouse Cake, cupcakes, candy-coated pretzels, candy-coated marshamallows and molded candy lollipops.

The Minnie Mouse Cake was actually a lot of fun to decorate and the kids loved it. We wanted the bow to stand out so instead of frosting we used red and white fondant.

Small glass containers filled with chocolate candy sprinkles were used to hold the candy lollipops

Marshmallows dipped in candy coating and rolled in sprinkles was another big hit with the kids!  I used short skewer sticks and rolled the marshmallows in melted candy coating and then rolled them in sprinkles. We used small glass containers and filled them with sprinkles which was quite pretty and helped prop up the marshmallows

The candy coated pretzels were set in medium size glass jars filled with a layer of Minnie mouse sprinkles and wrapped with a large silk ribbon bow - very pretty!!!
