These bacon wrapped onion rings are unbelievably delicious. In fact, they are so delicious that they never made it to the buffet table - everyone was picking them right off the smoker! They make a great appetizer but would also be a delicious topping a burger.

Easy Cauliflower & Bacon Salad

This is a wonderful creamy salad filled with cauliflower, bacon, cucumbers, cheese and a sprinkling of peas!

It is one of my top favorite salad recipes. It is a great every day dish but it usually ends up on my menu for parties and holidays.  It is an especially nice salad to serve for Easter dinner.

Meat Lover's Baked Cavatelli

Every so often I find myself with an over abundance of food in the house. When this happens, I put a one-week ban on all grocery shopping (except for staples) and try to use what I have on hand. During a recent ban, I had Canadian bacon and regular bacon on hand so I included them in my favorite Cavatelli recipe. And boy did it pay off! The combination of bacon, canadian bacon and Italian Sausage with a spicy pasta sauce was absolutely delicious! 

Smoky Cheddar & Bacon Cheese Ball

Who could possibly resist smoky cheddar cheese and bacon!! This has an incredible taste and is extremely easy to make. Just make sure you allow your self enough time for chilling. 

I served this for a party we hosted on the last Packer game. It is one of those appetizers you just can't quit eating. By the time we got to the homemade pizza, everyone was full from the cheese ball.  I will be making it again for the Super Bowl.

Who can resist pineapple and shrimp grilled together with a little sweet but yet spicy sauce, bacon and brown sugar. I couldn't decide if we wanted beef or shrimp kabobs so you know what indecisiveness does to a person -  it either freezes you from making a decision or prompts you to purchase both (which is usually what happens when shoe shopping but in this case it applied to food too). We enjoyed every bite of both!

Cheesy Bacon Au Gratin Potatoes

This casserole is a quick and tasty potato dish that goes with chicken, fish, pork & beef. In our house we love mashed potatoes and I will admit that sometimes, for convenience sake, we use packaged mashed potatoes. However, I kept thinking about how I could still stay true to the convenience and time factors and yet enhance the packaged mashed potato experience. What I ended up with was a cheddar cheese mashed potato casserole topped with bacon and bread crumbs. It was so good that we have made it several times since and have even prepared it with homemade mashed potatoes.
