The meatballs in bourbon sauce is my favorite appetizer for parties. It has a scrumptious sweet glaze made with bourbon and brown sugar. They are especially great to serve during the Fall and Winter holidays and of course for Super Bowl or other sports parties. I never have leftovers and in fact, no matter how many I make there doesn't seem to be enough.Wednesday, December 27, 2017

Heavenly Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting
This is absolutely the best pumpkin bar ever and I make it often. You know Fall is in the air and people are converting to Fall mode when I start getting requests for these bars! Just made them last week upon a request by co-workers of my daughter. They scratched off her item on the food list and wrote in "only your Mom's pumpkin bars" allowed.Wednesday, August 23, 2017

Easy & Delicious Strawberry Freezer Jam
There can be great enjoyment from making jams and jellies. It brings about a feeling of accomplishment. Usually you prepare food and it is immediately consumed but with preserving, you have a beautiful product that lasts for many months. You can be creative with jams and jellies through combining fruits for unique flavors, packaging the product and gifting. Making freezer jam is extremely quick and easy and I actually like strawberry jam freezer style better than cooked.Monday, October 10, 2016
Chicken Fajita Pepper Bombs
These Chicken Fajita Pepper Bombs are well ..... the bomb! They are super tasty and easy to make. Plus they are a nice spicy change from the traditional stuffed beef and Spanish rice peppers. The small filled red peppers were really showy and would make a great fall football game day snack.
My daughter made these stuffed peppers awhile ago and she went on and on about how wonderful they were so I thought I would give it a try. Her recipe was crock pot based which only works if you are the plan ahead kind of person! So, I made up my own recipe with the intent of not making too much work for myself.

Print Recipe

1 box of Old El Paso Cheesy Mexican Rice

Fresh diced tomatoes (optional)

The Making of American Flag Pallets - DIY How to Make the American Flag Using Wood Pallets
A tutorial on how to make four styles of the American Flag Using Wood Pallets. This summer I set out to make an American Flag out of wood pallets. One turned into four after friends and family saw the first one.
My first charge was to find pallet boards that were in really good shape. I am lucky because my husband has a lot of them at work so he is able to bring home the ones that are in the best condition and have the best wood.
