A trip to the Green Market

Nothing is better than waking up looking outside and it’s a beautiful 75 degrees and its Saturday. Terri and I decide that it’s a perfect day for the Green Market. Besides, we need to buy something for Supper.

Love for Adventure and Food

It has been a very long time since my sister, Terri and I have been able to spend time together. So, she flew down from the cold to enjoy the tropical weather here in South Florida. We planned a lot of great adventures, so stay tune for some of the stories and of course fantastic food.

Three Bean Pork Chili with Adobo Sauce

Needing a change from white bean soups, but did not want to go back to the traditional chili’s.  I decided to create a Pork and Bean Chili. The Adobo sauce brings a smoky change that I was looking for.

This soup brings a little heat and comfort to the table. Enjoy.

Great American Pizza Bake

In celebration of one of my favorite foods I am going to use the vegi's from my garden. Heirloom German Tomatoes, green onions, basil and red peppers. I bought the dough from the bakery from my grocery store which sells fresh dough. That's a real time saver. I start by spreading the dough on the pizza pan and then spread my homemade pesto over it. Top it with fresh mozzarella and then layer the rest of the ingredients. And just for a salty surprise, I crumble Bacon over the top, who doesn't love Bacon. I cooked this pizza at 400 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.

Frosted Chocolate Marshmallow Cookies

This is my all time favorite cookie recipe which I have been making since I was a teen.  When I get a craving for chocolate and cookies at the same time (which unfortunately is way too frequent) this is always the recipe that comes to mind.

This cookie is all chocolatey and creamy inside.

Mini Mushroom Tartlets

This past week was spent fulfilling my mushroom addiction.  I just can't stop making mushroom dishes! In all honesty, they are one of my favorite foods and I could literally eat them every day. I still have morel mushrooms in my freezer from last spring and I plan on fixing them next week.
